Disruptors & Dreamers: Sergio Ines Disruptors & Dreamers: Sergio Ines
Disruptors & Dreamers: Sergio Ines portrait

BIO:

You heard it here first — Sergio Ines might just be the most interesting man in the world. And the best dressed. GQ seemed to think so in 2013, as he placed 2nd on their acclaimed Best Dressed list, and not to mention the thousands of followers who look to him for his businessman-chic meets modern Jay Gatsby style. As the face behind the passion project turned influential fashion platform What My Boyfriend Wore, the South African native curates what he calls an inspirational blog for the ‘new generation of gentlemen.’ While he certainly has a flair for the finer things, Sergio isn’t afraid to roll up his starch-pressed sleeves and bust a sweat as an entrepreneur. He worked the 9 to 5 as a creative director in the advertising industry for 15 years before risking it all to pursue the creator lifestyle full-time. He’s gutsy. He’s inspirational. And he sure knows how to whip up a proper Old Fashioned.

What Moves You:

“I’m inspired by everything around me. If you look close enough, anything can be amazing.”

Quote:

“You can have anything you want if you dress for it.” -Edith Head
